A breeder needs quality foundation females to produce the exceptional puppies that a quality kennel demands. This does not mean the females have to be perfect, but they should be structurally sound, free breathers, free whelper and free of any major defect such as bad hips, elongated pallet, ectropion or any other major genetic flaw.
