The french bulldog is an intelligent, lively, playful, and affectionate dog that makes for a delightful companion or family pet. This mild-mannered breed loves people, loves to get involved with family play and activities. they are sweet-natured, humorous, and entertaining. the french bulldog is a very dependable, well balanced, and social breed. they are described as a small dog trapped in a big dog’s body. puppies are playful and energetic but will calm down as they get older.
The Frenchie is a stubborn breed like their English counterpart but they are also very sensitive. Their gentle disposition, intelligence, and obedience mean that they are well suited to novice owners as well as the more experienced.
The French bulldog gets along well with children and other animals but they may try and hunt very small animals such as rodents. With strangers, most will be friendly and welcoming although some can be reserved. They are effective little watchdogs as they will be vocal if they sense danger. These little dogs are very active for their size and should be watched around swimming pools for they can’t swim and will likely drown. The Frenchie makes a wonderful family pet and will get along with practically anyone and anything. like the English bulldog, they do not make good companions for owners who are very active as their short muzzles mean they can get worn out very quickly and be prone to respiratory problems if over-exerted.
