Clear Expectations for Every Puppy Placement
Most Crooked Star Bulldogges puppies are placed as family companions with limited registration and without breeding rights. Breeding rights require advance approval, additional fees and a written agreement.
Placed as a Family Companion
Most Crooked Star Bulldogges puppies are placed in pet homes as family companions. Pet-home placement includes limited registration, no breeding rights and a spay or neuter requirement.
Family Companion Placement
Most Crooked Star Bulldogges puppies are placed primarily as family companions. Our priority is finding responsible, permanent homes where each puppy will receive proper care, training and companionship.
Limited Registration
Pet-home puppies are placed with limited registration and without breeding rights. The registration status and placement terms are documented in the puppy-specific written agreement.
Spay or Neuter Requirement
Pet-home buyers agree to complete the required spay or neuter before the puppy reaches 11 months of age and provide written veterinary confirmation to Crooked Star Bulldogges.
Additional Approval and Responsibilities
Breeding rights are not automatically included with the purchase of a puppy. They require advance approval, additional fees and a written commitment to responsible breeding practices.
Advance Approval Required
Breeding rights must be discussed with and approved by Crooked Star Bulldogges before purchase. Approval is based on the individual dog, the buyer’s experience, breeding goals and intended breeding program.
Additional Breeding-Rights Fee
When breeding rights are approved, the additional fee is a minimum of 25% of the puppy’s original sale price. The fee may be higher depending on the individual dog, genetics and placement terms.
Responsible Breeding Commitment
Buyers approved for breeding rights must agree to follow the ASPCA Criteria for Responsible Breeding . This includes prioritizing health and temperament, providing appropriate veterinary care, completing applicable health testing and placing puppies responsibly.
Breeding Ability Is Not Guaranteed
Approval and payment for breeding rights do not guarantee that the dog will be fertile, suitable for breeding or considered breeding quality at maturity.
Crooked Star Bulldogges does not guarantee litter production, breeding results, show quality or the dog’s future physical development. The buyer accepts the risks and responsibilities associated with purchasing breeding rights.

- Confirm whether the puppy is being placed as a pet-home companion or with approved breeding rights.
- Review the registration status before completing the purchase.
- Discuss breeding rights with Crooked Star Bulldogges in advance.
- Understand that breeding rights require an additional fee of at least 25% of the original sale price.
- Make sure all approved breeding terms are included in the puppy-specific written agreement.
- Review and agree to responsible breeding expectations before accepting breeding rights.
