Puppies are sold with no known or genetic defect except for those listed and discussed during the purchase process and documented with the sale/puppy agreement. Crooked Star Bulldogges (CSB) certifies that, upon receipt, the dog is in good health and has been immunized and de-wormed per the accompanying health records.
Each puppy is examined by our D.V.M. (Alvarado Veterinarian Clinic or Midlothian Veterinarian Clinic), and unless otherwise stated, the puppy are certified to be in good health. As stated above, the puppy has been immunized and de-wormed per the accompanying health records. The buyer is responsible for all vaccinations after purchase.
The BUYER agrees to have the puppy/dog examined by the BUYER’S veterinarian at the BUYER’S expense within 72 hours of taking possession.
If your veterinarian does not give the puppy a clean bill of health, the BUYER must notify CSB immediately. CSB reserves the right to have the puppy re-examined at CSB’s veterinarian at CSB’s expense. The Buyer must send a copy of all examination results to CSB by email within five days of receipt of the puppy. Failure to provide examination results will render the Genetic Disease Guarantee null and void.
Some pups may leave the premises with minor protozoal infections, such as Giardia/Coccidia. These are NOT a significant concern and easily remedied with very inexpensive medication. These conditions are NOT from bad breeding; they are from factors associated with the breeding process. Small traces of intestinal worms can be found in some puppies, even after one de-worming. Simply, have your puppy re-checked during your initial health exam.
With the exceptions below, CSB guarantees our pups to be genetically sound and free of any “life-threatening” disease in terms of currently detectable genetic disorders for up to 12 months of age. In the event of a life-threatening genetic condition, with proper documentation, the puppy with the disorder can be returned to CSB and be replaced.
Although we make every effort to reduce health risks, Hip Dysplasia and Brachycephalic Airway Obstruction Syndrome are well-documented conditions within all bulldog/Bulldogge breeds. Because of this, CSB expressly excludes these conditions from our guarantee.
In addition, the Genetic Disease Guarantee does not cover any of the following conditions: Intestinal parasite (Coccidiosis, Giardia, Worms), Kennel Cough, Pneumonia, Ear or Skin Mites, Mange (Demodectic, Sarcoptic or Cheyletiella), Cherry Eye, Canine Seborrhea, Allergies (food or skin), Herniation (Inguinal, Perineal or Diaphragmatic), Stenotic Names, Small Trachea, Entropian, Elongated Soft Palate, Undescended Testes, Luxated Patellas grade 1-3.
Crooked Star Bulldogges is not responsible for puppies/dogs infected with Canine Parvo Virus or any kind of bacteria after 48 hours of delivery. Parvo is extremely deadly and, unfortunately, very abundant. We release pups with updated vaccines; however, puppies released before nine weeks old still need at least two more sets of vaccinations at 9 and 12 weeks old. As the new owner, it is your sole responsibility to make sure your new puppy is not infected or exposed to Parvo or any other common disease due to lack of immunization.
CSB will obviously not cover any issues that may arise from the owner’s negligence, including but not limited to conditions of overweight, malnutrition, injury, being mishandled, abuse or neglect, living conditions, or any other condition or act that was created by the owner or agent that negatively affected the well being of the animal. CSB will make every effort to re-take possession of any CSB dog with clear evidence of negligence or purposeful harm. No refund or reimbursement will be issued. Furthermore, the Buyer agrees to reimburse CSB for any costs associated with the re-possession including, but not limited to, all costs outlined within the original purchase contract, any transportation, hotel and/or accommodation costs, all veterinarian cost associated with evaluating, treating, and, if needed, disposing of animal, any legal fees, court fee and/or filing fees and any other cost deemed necessary by CSB to reposes the animal. CSB, at their discretion, will contact local authorities to file a report.
We ask that you socialize your puppy, obedience-train your puppy, make your puppy a member of the family and not just an outside pet. Our puppies are socialized when they leave our possession, and therefore, CSB is not responsible for behavioral problems that may occur.
The BUYER agrees to provide the puppy/dog a safe environment. This includes maintaining regular DVM exams, up to date vaccines, de-wormer, and to keep the puppy/dog in good condition, which includes proper food, water, and shelter. Failure to do so will void our guarantee.
The BUYER agrees to feed the dog a high-quality food diet. Should the owner decide not to follow these instructions and provide poor quality food that results in an ongoing health issue, CSB guarantee will become null and void. Food allergies are not considered a life-threatening condition.
The BUYER agrees to periodically send pictures of the puppy/dog for a minimum of 18 months of age so the breeder can further assess the breeding results.
The BUYER Agrees if follow all requirement set forth in the “SALES CONTRACT,” failure to adhere to the agreement will immediately void any and all guarantees.
