Clear Protection for Serious Genetic Conditions
Every Crooked Star Bulldogges puppy is covered by a 12-month genetic warranty. It provides protection if a puppy is diagnosed with a covered, life-threatening genetic condition during the first year.
How the Warranty Works
We want every family to understand the basic warranty requirements before bringing a puppy home. The information below explains the process in plain language.
What It Covers
The warranty applies to serious, life-threatening genetic conditions that can be detected during the first 12 months of the puppy’s life.
Initial Veterinary Exam
Have your puppy examined by your veterinarian within 72 hours of bringing the puppy home. This establishes the puppy’s condition at the beginning of the warranty.
Contact Us Promptly
If your veterinarian discovers a serious concern, contact Crooked Star Bulldogges immediately and provide the examination records within five days.
Provide Documentation
A covered claim requires veterinary documentation. Crooked Star Bulldogges may also request an examination by a veterinarian of our choosing.
If a Claim Is Covered
If the condition qualifies under the signed agreement, the puppy may be returned and replaced with another available puppy of equal or lesser value.
If No Puppy Is Available
If a replacement puppy is not immediately available, the buyer will receive the next available pick from a future litter.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover common illnesses, parasites, environmental conditions, injuries or conditions commonly associated with bulldog breeds. It also does not cover problems caused by improper care, missed vaccinations, neglect or exposure after the puppy leaves Crooked Star Bulldogges.
Examples include allergies, intestinal parasites, kennel cough, pneumonia, mites, mange and certain breed-related structural or airway conditions. The signed puppy agreement contains the complete list of limitations and exclusions.
Keeping the Warranty in Effect
- Complete the initial veterinary examination within 72 hours.
- Send examination records within five days if a serious concern is found.
- Keep the puppy current on vaccinations and routine veterinary care.
- Contact Crooked Star Bulldogges promptly if the puppy becomes seriously ill.
- Provide all requested veterinary documentation.
